I just read through some of your blogs and must admit have been oblivious to what was going on with you and your family. It sounds like Tina was incredibly strong but essentially the chemo had a deleterious effect on her heart. I am so sorry for the loss of your spouse. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Team Paleskin - Thank you so much for setting up the service. It was wonderful and a beautiful testimony to Tina's life. Thank you for allowing us to speak our own testimony for Tina. I was a little "in a hurry" and didn't want to take up too much time but I had written a poem and never read it:

On distant shores white sandy beaches glow
The sound of crashing waves keeps the beat
Beach chairs, beach mats and umbrellas accompany us
Laughing friends and family all astride the out-line
Waiting to rotate in and take a turn on the court
All of us playing hard: bump, set, spike, dive, dig or block
Or maybe most of us do: whiff, shank, throw, carry, or net
We all play until our hands are shaking,
Or our skills degrade to pure comedy
Our sleeves roll up, shirts come off
The day goes on until the setting sun on the endless 4 man rotation
But now we see there is one in that rotation
Tina – your presence, smile and laughter will be missed in the rotation
Until we meet again all together on brighter shores and endless days of volleyball

Team Paleskin thank you so much for setting up the memorial service for Tina. It was wonderful and beautiful. I was so happy to hear and be part of everyone's testimony celebrating Tina's life. I had written a poem but never said it so I give it up to Tina and Todd:

On distant shores white sandy beaches glow
The sound of crashing waves keeps the beat
Beach chairs, beach mats and umbrellas accompany us
Laughing friends and family all astride the out-line
Waiting to rotate in and take a turn on the court
All of us playing hard: bump, set, spike, dive, dig or block

Just wanted to let you know that I thought of Tina today. As we get older, we recognize the impact that those around us continue to have even though they are no longer with us. She made a difference.
